Websites · built on KaryalayForge

A business website we build, host and keep.

Pages, a blog, your catalogue and an online store, enquiry forms and hosting — on one yearly subscription, with nothing to pay to have it built.

What you are getting

What the site comes with

Every part below is built in and kept by us, and every one of them works on a site joined to nothing else at all.

Pages and posts — Every page and every post, written and edited from inside the site itself — no separate program, and nobody to ring when a word needs changing.

What the usual way costs

The plugin tax is a schedule, not a risk

A site built out of other people’s parts does not fail all at once. It fails on their timetable, a piece at a time, and every bill for putting it right is yours.

  1. Month one

    The site goes up

Assembled from parts written by people you will never meet, on a framework maintained by others again.

  2. Month four

    One author stops answering

The part still works, so nothing looks wrong yet. There is simply nobody left to ask about it.

  3. Month seven

    An update breaks the checkout

Two parts that never agreed to work together stopped agreeing. Your site is down and every maker points at the other.

  4. Month nine

    The renewals arrive

On their own dates, at their own prices, decided by companies with no interest in what your year looked like.

  5. And ours

    One piece, one maintainer

Built and kept by the people you already ring. When something breaks it is ours to fix, and it is fixed for everyone at once.

The site never sets a price. A cart arrives as a request; every line on it is priced again from your own list before an order exists. That is why the page above can be wrong and your bill still cannot be.

On its own

A website on its own is a normal thing to buy

Plenty of businesses want a site and nothing else, and that is a whole customer rather than half of one. Here is what that actually looks like, limits included.

Yes, and it is a normal way to start. The site stands on its own — pages, posts, listings, testimonials, signups, visitor accounts, your own media and your own analytics. Nothing on that list waits for anything else to be bought.

No. A customer who wants a website is a customer, not a lead. The site is worth having on its own terms, and it is built to be worth having that way.

Two things, and we would rather say so now than let you find out later. Enquiry forms with several fields are the ones you author in KaryalayOne, shown on the site — a simple newsletter signup does not need it, but a form with a dozen questions does. And the lists a page can build itself from are a fixed set, most of which read from the office rather than from the site.

No. The site keeps its pages, its posts, its pictures and its address. What changes is that it stops being an island: the prices and stock it shows start coming from your own records, and the enquiries it has been collecting begin landing in your enquiry list instead of somebody’s email.

No, but it is simpler if you do. For a name registered with us we write the records the site and its mail need, and the certificate is issued and renewed without you being told to do anything. Bring a name from elsewhere and it still works — there is just a step where somebody has to point it at us.

Every line of the thing your site runs on was written by the company you are buying it from.

That framework is KaryalayForge, and it is what the sites are built and hosted on. We do not sell it — you cannot buy a copy, and there is no licence to renew. It is simply the reason a fault on your site is ours to fix rather than yours to go looking for. More about KaryalayForge →
