What decides the price
What it deliberately leaves out
An account is free. You make it at the checkout, and you pay nothing before then.
However they land
Both numbers, the same size, every time. A cheap first year that renews at several times the price is the oldest trick in this trade, and it works because the number you compare on and the number you live with are printed at different sizes.
One number, as large as it can be made, and the price you pay every year after in three lines of type nobody reads. The asterisk is doing all the work.
The first year and every year after, side by side, at the same size, wherever a price appears. If the two differ you will know before you buy, not on the renewal notice.
Whatever you buy
Not because they are generous, but because charging for them would make the product worse. Each of these is decided and each is checkable elsewhere on this site.
A business that is sold more than it uses stops using any of it, and then leaves. Selling four sets instead of one big one is not generosity — it is the only version of this that is still here in five years.
It is also the harder thing to sell, because a single big number is easier to put on a page than four sets somebody has to think about. We would rather have the conversation about which of them you can leave alone.
The figures above are the whole list, and you can add them up yourself. What a conversation is still good for is the other direction — describing the office, and being told which of the four sets you can leave alone. That takes about fifteen minutes and most of it is us talking you out of things.
