Proof
What changed, in the owner’s words.
A write-up here is one business: what the office looked like before, what was switched on and in what order, and what is different now — said by the person who has to live with it rather than by us.
None is published yet, and that is a standard rather than a delay. What we will and will not put on this page is below.
The write-ups
Nothing is published here yet.
We will not write one of these out of our own notes. It takes a business that runs the office on this, an owner willing to say what changed in their own words, and their agreement to the finished page. Until all three exist, this page stays empty.
The first write-up will stand here.
The standard
What one of these will say, and what it will not
Worth writing down while there is nothing on the page to hold to it. Every write-up that ever appears above is held to both columns.
In it
- The trade, and roughly how big the office is.
- What the day looked like before — the registers, the books, the separate programs that never spoke to each other.
- What was switched on, in what order, and what was deliberately left off.
- What is different now, in the owner’s own words rather than ours.
- What is still awkward, because an account with no awkward part in it is an advertisement.
Never in it
- A saving nobody outside that business could check.
- A sentence nobody said.
- A business we have not actually worked with.
- A name used before the owner has read the page it appears on.
- Words edited into something the person who said them would not recognise.
Until then
What you can check today
None of this is somebody else’s story. All of it is something you can hold against your own business this afternoon.
Your own trade, written out
What a business shaped like yours runs, what it has to enter before anything is useful, and what it can leave switched off. Four trades, each argued in full.
The thing itself, on your own paperwork
Bring one day of your own work and see what it looks like inside it. That is a harder test than reading about somebody else, and a more useful one.
The questions, with the noes left in
What it will not do, what is unfinished, what happens the day something breaks, and what decides a price.
If it is your business, we would like to write it up.
If you already run the office side of your business on this and would be willing to say what changed, tell us. It costs you a conversation, and nothing goes up that you have not read first.
